SANITAS DIGITAL CONCIERGE

ROLE: LEAD UX/UI DESIGNER

THE PROBLEM

Sanitas USA, a health services provider operating across several states, faced a challenge during the pandemic. Their users, many of whom were elderly or not particularly tech-savvy, were forced to rely on the outdated digital platform to access the services. As a result, they often had to visit medical centers in person for basic tasks like scheduling appointments.

RESEARCH PHASE

During the research phase of the Digital Concierge project, we took a dive into the world of competitor medical apps through a mystery costumer exercise. This helped us get a firsthand look at what others in the field were offering. We then followed up with the creation of a user persona, a key step to find the specific audience our application would serve.

USER FLOW

We put together a detailed user flow to map out all the different things you can do in this app. Since mobile and desktop users have their own quirks, We made two separate user flows to make sure everyone gets the best experience, whether they’re on their phone or computer.

WIREFRAMING

To ensure everyone was on board with the design direction, we carefully crafted medium-fidelity wireframes. These wireframes provided stakeholders with a concrete visualization of how the design’s structure and user interactions would unfold. It was all about giving them a clear picture of what to expect before diving into the Hi-Fi version.

DESIGN SYSTEM

After getting the green light from stakeholders, our team dove into crafting a comprehensive design system. This document was our roadmap, detailing crucial elements like colors, fonts, and interface components that make up the app. What’s noteworthy is that this design system evolved alongside the prototype’s development, ensuring a seamless and cohesive progression.

PROTOTYPE

Once the wireframes and design system got the thumbs-up, we moved on to the key phase of prototype design. Following a “mobile-first” approach, we prioritized building the prototype for the mobile app to guarantee a smooth and user-friendly experience on smaller screens. Afterwards, we flexed our design muscles to create the desktop version of the project.

We introduced a cool interface, along with an easy-to-use omnichannel experience for Sanitas customers.

Virtual assistant: The heart of the Digital Concierge project, an avatar based chat, powered by a bot trained to solve any cuestion form the patients

Custom home screen: The patients can customize their home screens choosing their favorite options to be displayed as son as they get into the app

Chat with a doctor: First hand communication with the patient family doctor
